The Palisade was tested in 6 holes during the <br />1976-1977 drilling program. The seam thins rapidly southeastward from <br />the outcrop in the vicinity of the Piidwest mines, where it is 3 to 4 <br />feet thick. The thickest coal, 4.60 feet, was found in hole CC-76-2, in <br />the north central part of the property; the seam thins to the west, <br />south, and east of this point.
