C, Van Galder, I measure8
the yields do wells designated as No.'s 2, 3 and 4, all belon+gi.ng to the
Excelsior Irrigating Company, These walla discharge directly into the
Excelsior Ditch.
The yields were measured by computing as closely as possible the
cross.-sectional area of the flawing water in the Excelsior Ditch, and
the velocity of the water between tvoo measured points/ There was no
water in the Excelsior Llitch other than that 'being measured.
The results axe approximately as follows:
We11 No. 2 = 725 gallons per minute
Well No. 3 = 1005 gallons per minute
Well No 4 = 1050 gallons per minute.
A fourth well, designated as Wo11 No. 1 was not connect~o the electric
power, and could not be tested, However, on pasl~xcasion. I had observed
the well in production, and it is my opinion that the yield would be approx-
imately 500 gallone per minute.
Respec~tful~ly submitted,,
Simo- n F, Ell~`io^k, ~ ~^
Registered Professional Engineer 8c
Lend Surveyor
Certified ConeultingEngineer
SBE:a .
