Sherman
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cattany
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
On October 10, 2007, the Division received Oakridge Energy, Inc.'s request for vacation of
DBMS Coal Program Notice of Violation CV-2007-005. Upon careful review of this request,
and in consultation with the Coal Program staff, I have decided to deny this request.
I have done so based on a review of the situation by the staff, which I have attached. Attached
also is a modification of the NOV.
Compliance with Colorado's coal mining and reclamation laws and regulations are a requisite
part of the day-to-day operations of Colorado's coal mining industry. The public expects a
system with sound regulatory oversight and timely industry compliance.
Sinc ely,
Ronald W.
