ORIGINAL -PUBLIC FILE
(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn-t9gp_~da
INSPECTION DATE: t2/26ln7 INSPECTOROS INITIALS: ~~
OBSERVATIONS
The Division conducted a monitoring inspection of the pregnant pond levels for the
leach pad on 12/26/07. As reported in the inspection report dated 12/19/07, pregnant
ponds were running on the high side of the Board approved 80$ operational level. As
noted in the last inspection all ponds were below the 80~ operational. The closest preg
pond to the 80 ~ operational level was still approximately 5 feet below that threshold
level. The Division just wanted to make sure the levels were not increasing.
Present during the inspection was Mr. Mark Vanoni of CC&V.
The area had received approximately 9 inches of snow the day before. Most of the pad
was covered with snow.
Collected the following readings from the High and Low volume solution collection
transducers of Phase I,II,III AND IV of the valley leach pad.
Phase I, High Volume Solution Collection transducer # 2 was recorded at 53.2 and # 3
was at 54.7. Low Volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at .32 and # 2 was at
.42. Pizometer for the pond was at 55.2 feet.
Phase II & III High Volume Solution Collection transducer # 4 was recorded at 44.7 #5
was at 39,4 and #6 was at 45.4. Low volume solution collection transducer # 1 was at.01
and # 2 was at .69. Piezometer for the pond was at 45.6 feet.
High Volume solution collection transducer # 7 was recorded at 42.4 # 8 was at 43.4 # 9
was at 43.7 and # 10 was at 43.6. CC&V collected samples from the three low volume
discharge points for analysis. No split samples were collected by DBMS, because this is
something CC&V does for their own internal records and is not part of any required
monitoring set by other agencies or DRMS.
Inspected the under drains, both the 4 inch pipe and the south under drain were
discharging. Flow rates were measured at4.9 gpm for the south under drain and .83 gpm
for the 4 inch pipe. CC&V collected their bi weekly required sampling from both drains.
DRMS did not collect a split sample because we are going to collect a sample on January
9t° for the Winter quarter WHILE CONDUCTING A SITE INSPECTION FOR THE MONTH.
All lower ponds were covered with snow. Walked to AG1.5 flume area, it was not
discharging at the time of the inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: TIM COMER
OPERATOR: CC&V cc: r CE
STREET: P n RnX 191
CITY/STATE/ZIP: vlcTnR cni ~enn~ RnR~n
I' BL
I' FS,
t HW
t HMWMD (CH)
