ORIGINAL - POBLIC FILE <br />(Page 2) <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M_13.80:244- <br />INSPECTION DATE: L2/IOm7 INSPECTORS INITIALS: ~i~ <br />OBSERVATIONS <br />The Division conducted a monthly monitoring inspection of the site on 12/19/07. Present <br />during the site visit were Tim Comer and Gary Goodrich of CC&V. <br />The area had received a considerable amount of snow the past week which was evident at <br />the time of the inspection. <br />Inspected the Load out bin area it was active at the time of the inspection. Haul roads <br />leading to the pita area were in good repair. Storm water control structure for the <br />haul roads were also found to be in good repair. <br />Inspected the main, east & south Cresson area. The Wild horse portion of the East <br />Cresson was active at the time of the inspection. <br />Inspected the Phase I, II, III & IV Leach PAD Areas and collected the following readings <br />from the High and Low Volume solution collection transducers. <br />Phase I High Volume solution collection transducer # 1 read out meter was still not <br />functioning, # 2 was recorded at 54.7 # 3 was at 55.5. Low Volume solution collection <br />transducer # 1 was at .42 and # 2 was at .40. Piezometer for the pond was at 57.6 feet. <br />Phase II and III High Volume solution collection transducer # 4 was recorded at 44.1 # <br />5 was at 39.6 and # 6 was at 44.4. Low volume solution collection transducer # 1 was <br />at.o5 and # 2 was at .48. Piezometer fOr the pond was at 44.0 feet. <br />Phase IV, High Volume solution collection transducer # 7 was recorded at 39.6 # 8 was <br />at 39.7 #9 was at 40.3 and # 10 was at 40.5. Low volume solution collection transducer <br /># 1 was at 12.4 and # 2 was at 14.2 inches of hydrostatic head. Talked to Denne Demmer <br />supervisor of the pad regarding the pond levels and the coverage the pads will have <br />during the holiday, given the fact that the ponds still below the 80~ Board approved <br />operational level, but in some cases to with in 5 feet of the 808 Board approved <br />operational level. He assured the Division that they are going to have the same <br />coverage as normal operation day and that he expects the pond level to drop in the next <br />few weeks. <br />Inspected the External pond, it was holding some water with snow cover, Low volume <br />solution collection transducer # 1 was at 9.1 and # 2 was at 6.8 inches of hydrostatic <br />head. <br />Inspected the under drains, both the south and 4 inch pipes were discharging at much <br />lower flow than was observed last month.
