Mike Shimmin Page
January 2, 2008
than the acreages used to compute the maximum depletion, actual depletion will be reduced
proportionally.
Second, there are sediment detention ponds at the site that, when containing water, will
evaporate water. Shown in the table below are your estimates of maximum monthly depletions
from the ponds. Actual depletions will be assessed on any pond that contains a free water
surface for more than 72 hours using the monthly evaporation rates given in the table, pond
surface area, and number of days the pond contains water.
Finally, water is pumped back from an underdrain and spring collection system intended
to prevent leakage of cyanide from off the site. This pumping will be metered and replacements
made equal to pumping, in the following month.
BEAVER
FOURMILE CREEK CREEK
No- No- Evaporation No-
Discharge Discharge from Discharge
Area Area Sediment Area
Inside Outside Detention Pump Back Outside
Diatreme' Diatreme' Ponds S stem Total Diatreme
Maximum
Size 152.3 ac 214,9 ac 13 ac 0 ac Monthl Eva oration
Month in ff
Jan 1.36 2.02 0 as meteredZ 3.38 0 0.1 0.01
Feb 1.35 1.91 0 3.26 0 0.8 0.07
Mar 1.36 1.82 0.08 3.26 0 1.4 0.12
pr 1.36 1.73 D.15 3.24 0 2.6 0.22
May 1.36 1.70 0.19 3.25 0 3.3 0.28
Jun 1.36 1.73 0.26 3.35 0 4.5 0.38
Jul 1.36 1.77 0.23 3.36 0 3.9 0.33
ug 1.36 1.86 0.15 3.37 0 2.6 0.22
Sep 1.36 2.02 0.17 3.55 0 2.9 0.24
Oct 1.35 2.16 0.12 3.63 0 2.0 0.17
Nov 1.36 2.16 0.05 3.57 0 1.0 D.08
Dec 1.36 2.12 0 3.48 0 0.2 0.02
otal 16.3 23.00 1.40 as metered' 40.7 0 25.3 2.11
1) Depletion of historic natural runoff = 0.107 ac-fUac
2) CC&V Estimates up to 30 acre-feet annually
Units in acre-feet unless othervrise noted.
REPLACEMENT
The source of replacement water will be discharge of water purchased from the Town of
Victor.
