PHEASANT RUN FLAT CAR <br />PORTABLE BRIDGE SPECIFICATIONS; <br />LOCATION : HAUL ROAD ON SITE OVER THE ROCKY FORD HIGH LINE CANAL <br />STRUCTURE TYPE : RAILROAD FLAT CAR <br />SPAN LENGTH : MAXIMUM SPAN 40 FEET PLUS OR MINUS <br />SKEW : HAUL. ROAD AND BRIDGE ARE PERPENDICULAR TO THE ABUTMENTS <br />STRUCTURE WIDTH: 14 FT. OUT TO OUT OF TIMBER DECK, FLATCAR IS APPROXIMATELY B FT, WIDE <br />BEAM TYP€S : TYPICAL FLAT CAR CONSISTS OF LARGE MAIN GIRDERS ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF <br />THE CAR WITH LIGHTER WEIGHT EXTERIOR BEAMS ALONG THE EDGES. THE SIZES AND <br />RELATIVE STIFFNESS RATIOS BETWEEN THE INTLRIIOR AND EXTERIOR BEAMS VARY <br />PER EACH FLAT CAR LENGTH. THE DECK WILL BL DESIGNED FOR THE SUPERIMPOSED <br />LOADS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THE MINING OPERATION APPROXIMATELY 21 TONS <br />PER LOADED TRUCK. A SAFETY FACTOR OF 2.5 WILL BE USE FOR DESIGN LOADS, <br />DECK : TIMBER DECK CONSISITING OF 4" X 12" PLANKS AT 15" ON CENTER. LONGITUDINAL RUNNERS <br />UNDER EACH WHEEL LINE (TRACK) CONSISTING OF (B) 4' X 12' PLANKS. A STEEL PIPE RAILING <br />SHALL BE. INSTALLED, <br />ABUTMENTS : CONSISTING OF CONCRETE BLOCKS APPROXIMATELY 24" X 24" X 72" STACKED AND <br />SET INTO PLACE BY TAMPING AND COMPACTING ROAD BASF GRAVEL IN AND AROUND THEM <br />TO FORM A STEADY BEARING FOR THE ENDS OF THE RAIL ROAD FLAT CAR.
