INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
TO: DAN HERNANDEZ
FROM: JANET BINNS
SUBJECT: NOI X-2007-205-11 RECLr1MATION COST ESTIMATE: REVISED TO REMOVE TWINNED HOLES
DATE: 8/23/07
I have revised the reclamation cost estimate for NOI application X-2007-205-11, for the Wolf Creek Exploration
project submitted by Twentymile Coal Company.
The applicant proposes to drill two holes, and construct two drill pads. The diameter of the drill holes will be 6.25".
The average drill hole depth is projected to be 1125 ft. deep. TCC states that, drill pads will be accessed from existing
roads and no new roads are required to be constructed. The holes will not be twinned under this NOI application.
Each pad may have up to three small mud pits during the drilling process. Reclamation of the drill pads will consist of
sealing the drill holes with cement and surgel, marking each hole, drying and regrading all mudpits, regrading both drill
pads, replacing topsoil on the regarded pads, and seeding the pads.
TCC estimated cost for reclamation of the proposed holes is $7,953.00. The Division's estimated cost for reclamation
of four holes and the two associated pads is $7,667.00. TCC's estimate exceeds the Division's by $286.00. The Division
is can accept TCC's estimate. Please find my supporting CIRCES estimating task sheets attached to this memo.
