(XTO) is submitting this letter documenting the area of additional <br />disturbance at the Shults Gravel Pit (permit: M-2000-073). As we discussed on <br />November 5, 2007, the property owner had an area around the gravel pit perimeter <br />cleared for cattle fence installation. As part of this operation an additional area on the <br />southeast side of the gravel pit was mistakenly cleared of vegetation connecting the <br />property owners clearing activities to the gravel pit operation. <br />The cleared area will not be part of the mining operation. Photos of the area of <br />additional disturbance have been provided for your review. Rip Rap has been placed to <br />prevent access to the property owners cleared area. XTO is proposing to revegetate the <br />area of additional disturbance after it has been restored to the approximate original <br />contours. <br />Thank you for your assistance and consideration of this matter.
