EXHIBIT D
MINING PLAN AND TIMETABLE
LOCATION
The property is located in Adams County approximately 2.0
miles northwest of Commerce City, Colorado. The land to the west
was part of an old gravel pit operated by Mobile Premix Company
in the 1980's which is currently a water storage reservoir for
the City of Thornton. This small area has contained the Priola
family greenhouses for many years and was the primary residence
for the Priola patriarch. It will be a single stage mining
operation located on 13.68 ac. ± northwest of Interstate 76 and
the west of Dalha St. It is owned by CAP Land Company and leased
to Albert Frei and Sons, Inc . Please refer to EXHIBIT B -VICINITY MAP
for the property configuration and the relationship to surround-
ing geological features. The area to be mined lies in an area
surrounded by a water storage reservoir, commercially developed
land, agricultural property and an interstate highway.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
The permit area will cover a 13.68 acre ± parcel with a
site elevation of approximately 5090 feet, sea level datum. The
northern part of the site is covered by a large greenhouse and
office complex while the southern area is mostly used for rural
residential and general farm yard uses . The PRE-MINING MAP -EXHIBIT C
shows how the area looks at this time. The gravel deposit is an
alluvial deposit that averages 15+ feet deep across the property.
This deposit will tend to thin as mining progresses from west to
east.
The numerous buildings and structures located on the site at
this time will be demolished and hauled from the site prior to
mining commencing. This includes any buried gas, phone and water
lines on the site. The operator will contact a buried line
location service to check the area for any type of buried utility
or gasline that are not owned by the landowners and need to be
left when mining is complete.
MAPEXHIBITC shows the outline of the mining area, the touch-
ing landowners, the 200 foot ownership, current topography, and
hydrologic features of the property. The land is presently used
for rural residential and agricultural purposes by the landown-
ers. Most of the area is highly disturbed where equipment has
been stored or used for various agricultural activities. There
is little vegetation in and around the buildings on the northern
part of the site. The rest of the area has a vegetative cover
that would be considered good.
