All of tho above machine parameters(teYnperaxure, pressure, and speed) may vary witkt tb~e
material type and thickness,
As the panels are befog fabricated, the operators are responsible for the follov~ring
procedures and observations:
Visually inspect the material for surface imperfections.
Align the material to provide a nominal 2" seam overlap.
Tension the two sheets equally to minimize wrinkles.
Monitor the seaming temperature,
Should a defect ba detected in the material or seam, stop
identification, repair, documeztt, then resume sealing process.
DE.STRl7CT1VE TEST
seaming process, mazk for
A sample is taken at the start of every shift and after Query time the sealing machine has
been turned of and allrowed to cool. The eatuples will be tasted fox Bonded Seam
Strength (Shear) and Peel Adhesion. Refer to lining material physical property sheet.
P,ACTOXiX S1aAM STR>rNGTH TEST
The panez retains are to be cut into samples. the samples axe tested fox bonded seanra
strength (shear strength) and peel adhesion. All seam strength test are prePornned as
required by NSF Standard S4.
The test results aze compared to the minimum factory seam requirements established ~by
NSF Standard 54 for the specified materiaX.
All test are conducted with a calibrated testing machine. The test results are filed in the
project folder and to be made available for the et~gineerlowner upon request.
PACKAGTNCr AND LABEI~TNG
Each fabricated panel will be folded, rolled, then palletixed. Each palletized panel shall
ba marIsed oz~ the lixaer and the outside paclCaghxg with the following information,
Tob Identi$oation Number.
Material thickness and manufacturer.
Panel size.
P~uael identification.
Customer name and shipping address.
Pallets shall be wrapped in protective white reflective plastic sheeting.
Panels d®]ivered to the fob site shall be ~nnloaded and stored in their anginal packaging by
the custotaer. The palletized panels should tie stored in a safe, stable looatioa
'Whenever possible, a space between the pallets should be provided, especially if the
panels are going to be stored for are extoaded period of time before itsStallation.
The pallets containing the liner panels shall NOT be staclted.
