Trapper Mine, fig. 3
We confirmed that at least three years (2005 through 2007 to date) of all the
individual blast records at TMI are being maintained on site and are
available for inspection.
There have been no public requests to review TMI blasting records from
January 1, 2005 to date according to inspection participants. This concluded
our blasting records review. The blasting records noted above contained all
the information required by Colorado Rule 4.08.5; and were in compliance
with the weight distance formula and airblast limitations of Rule 4.08.
We accompanied Mrs. Binns, Mr. Musick, and Mr. Roberts during the
afternoon of November 14t" on the beginning of a complete inspection. We
inspected the eastern most disturbed areas of the mine. We observed the
landslide area and discussed a proposed mine plan revision to implement a
truck-shovel operation in conjunction with the dragline to resume mining in
this area.
All active spoil areas were contemporaneously graded, and a112007 topsoil
replacement has been seeded. Sediment ponds inspected were not
discharging, and inlet and outlet areas appeared stable. No surface water
runoff control problems were noted for haulroads, final drainways being
reconstructed, and completed spoil grading areas inspected. This concluded .
our inspection.
Please address any questions concerning this report to Henry Austin, Senior
Reclamation Specialist at haustin ,osmre.gov or to (303) 844-1400 x 1466.
