MARCH SURVEY <br />The Mazch survey flight was conducted on Mazch 15, 1992 using a Cessna 182. The weather <br />conditions at the time of the flight consisted of temperatures ranging from 40-45°F, winds were 0-5 mph <br />from the east, and skies were partly cloudy with high lazge areas on south and west facing slopes at the <br />lower elevations were free of snow while upper elevations were snow covered. The survey was initiated <br />at 0840 hours and terminated at 1045 hours. A survey of Seneca II Mine was from 0840 to 0915 hours. <br />The Yoast azea was flown from 0915 to 0945 hours. The Seneca II -West azea was flown from 0945 <br />to 1045 hours. <br />Most of the deer and elk were feeding or moving during the flight. <br />Seneca II - Four eagles were observed. One was observed nesting at the nest site in section <br />27 while the other was perched on the sandstone ridge. The other two were flying along the sandstone <br />ridge in Section 3 near the nest site. <br />Yoast -Numerous groups of elk were observed within the survey azea. No deer or eagles were <br />observed. <br />Seneca II -West -Several groups of elk and deer were observed within the survey azea. <br />Many of the deer were observed along the north-south ridge west of the paved road in sections 9, 4 and <br />17. Several large groups of elk were observed north of the mine. One golden eagle was observed along <br />the sandstone neaz the nest site in Hubberson Gulch of Section 21. <br />~~ <br />~...J <br />5 <br />
