e) Location of areas seeded: NA
Seed mixes used:
# Acres seeded: 0
Augmentation:
Weed control: 2004 Reclamation Map, received 2/25/2005, provides information regarding
noxious weed control. The operator provided detail on the timing of spraying but
did not disclose what chemicals were used during the spraying operation. The
operator needs to include a description of the chemical used for noxious weed
control.
f) Location ,number of acres, and date of planting of all previously vegetated areas:
357.1 acres topsoiled
357.1 acres seeded
44.3 acres in long-term facilities
401.4 total acres disturbed
2) Additional info as committed to in the permit:
Energy Fuels has a grazing plan in the pennit, pages 780-131 to 780-132. During 2004 EFCI
allowed 500 head of cattle on the reclaimed mine site for nine days, July 10`h through July 18`h. This
is a slightly higher stocking rate than what is described in the permit. If this increased stocking rate
is based on higher production rates as a result of vegetation sampling, Energy Fuels should revise the
grazing plan accordingly. The Division conducts frequent inspections of the site and notes how well
the reclaimed community responds to grazing pressure.
C:/jhb/team/Marr/2004 ARR review.doc
