The cracks generally tread cast-northeast and are as much us 3.5
inches wide.
• The exposed crack length now ranges linen a few feet to as much as 300 feet. The width of
the cracks ruges from a fraction of un inch to as much as 3.5 inches.
• The wider cracks appear longer, hccause weuthcrod bedrock and soil has sloughed in the
cracks, exposing die underlying cracks further westwurd (higures 16 and 17).
Figures 16 (Lek) and 17 (Right). Subsidence cracks at the Apache Rocks sandstone outcrop. The
cracks are the widest and most extenawe m the area. More of the underlying cracks in the sandstone
have been exposed due to the surfiaal matenal caving and sloughing mlo the underlying cracks.
4.3.4 Traverse P-P'
This foot traverse begins at the road near Apache Raks above the southern edge oC mined
Ivngwall panel 12 and ends at drill hole 5W-3.
83r-032.840 Wnght Water Engineers, inc.
