Carol Ann Pit <br />MLR No. M-97-026 Tax LD.# <br />Dear Barbara: <br />Enclosed is tfie Annual Report for the past year for The Carol Ann Pit of B&B <br />Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Past records show that the annual <br />date for the pit is September 8 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit is <br />$20,500 and the total permit area is 30.0 acres. The mining and reclamation plan has <br />three phases. <br />The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1: <br />(1) Approximately 1.0 acres of new disturbance occurred in the past year in the south <br />central part of the permit area as shown on the enclosed annual report map. No <br />salvageable topsoil was available from of this area since the gravel was within 2 inches <br />of the surface. Topsoil stripping will take place on the majority of the remaining <br />acreage. Of the total new disturbance of ].0 acres, partial excavation was undertaken to <br />provide roadbase material for the decel lane at the site entrance. <br />(2) No reclamation could be done in the past year since mining has just begun. As <br />soon as this area is completely mined, the area will be reclaimed. <br />(3) For the upcoming year, mining will continue on the partially mined area on the <br />western side of the property and in the newly disturbed area as shown on the map. No <br />facilities have yet been constructed on the site. Some facilities will be installed in the <br />
