Resource. Inc.
' Dear Ms. Michels:
' On behalf of Connell Resources, Inc. (herein Connell); 4305 E. Harmony Road; Fort
Collins, CO 80525 we are submitting a Amendment to their Use By Special Review permit
at the Stute Pit. This Amendment is to allow Connell to continue operating their asphalt
' batch plant at the Stute Pit until December 31, 1999. This amendment submittal is in
conjunction with Connell's Wellington Downs Special Review application and is at the
request of the County Planning Department.
PURPOSE FOR STAYING AT THE STUTE PIT
' Connell has several reasons for wanting to continue operating at the Stute Pit for five more
years. These include the following:
' I) They have several hundred tons of sand and gravel to be mined.
2) They have recently invested over $100,000 to construct a new maintenance shop
for their equipment and it would be costly to relocate.
3) Keeping the Stute Pit open will allow them to gradually increase production at the
Wellington Downs property, thus gradually impacting the County Roads 36 and 7.
