DMG Permit No. M-88-112 <br />Monthly Sampling <br />Dear Mr. Dillie: <br />All required sampling was completed during the month of June. <br />the NANO/RO water treatment plant was down for 10 days during the month for maintenance and <br />to remove the high brine water from ponds # 1 and #2. A total of 5,127,300 gallons of water was <br />treated and discharged into Rito Seco during the month of June. <br />As discussed with you, SF-1 well was sampled this month. This well continues to recover very slowly. <br />Work continued on the stormwater system from the West Pit bockfill. <br />All surface water stalions were inspected and RS-4 and RS-6 were found to be dry. <br />Vacuum on the lysimeters was verified and no water was present to sample. <br />When we checked the piezometers on the main embankment of the tailings impoundment on <br />6/26/00, the piezometers were dry or contained below 12 inches of water. <br />The two west pit piezometers were measured for depth to water on 6/28/00, with the following <br />result: BF-1 was 26.30 ft and BF-2 was 29.91 it. The other piezometers in the West Mine area were also <br />checked v:ith the folloving result: P'+V-i was 2;.81 ft, F'vJ-2 'was 27.38 ft, P'/J-3 was 35. i4 ft and PW-4 <br />was 30.1 I it. <br />the underdrain was measured at approximately 32 gpm. <br />The collection pond's leak detection system was pumped and sampled on 6/26/00. The leak was <br />approximately 28 gpad. <br />The seeps remain dry. <br />5,300,600 gallons of water was pumped from the evaporation system collection pond to the failings <br />impoundment. <br />Tlie depth to wafer at BF-4 was at 23.55 feet on 6/30/00. <br />.4 SUBSIDIARY' OF BATTLE M1fOUNTAIN GOLD COMPANY <br />P.O.
