CAidON CITY QUARRY REPORT
SCAIE FACTOR.i
These are operators on the charge wei~ts which permit a single line to
repres~t vibrations from a wide range of charge sizes. As a result of
many studies, it was found that the levels of vibrations are strong
functions of charge weights and shot-to instrument distances, with other
variables, such as geology and different explosive types, having relativel,}r
minor influence, under normal conditions.
Vibration measurements are plotted as a curve, or series of curves, relating
levels of vibration Sn terms of particle velocity to Charge size and distances
from the shots.
