TXI BOULDER ~.
To: State of Colorado
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street
From: Randy Moulton
Plant Manager
TXI Boulder
RE: Permit No. M1988-108
Western Aggregates, Mining Report
Date 11/06/2007

f~OV 2 12001
Divisian of ~:ecia~~sYion,
Mining and Safety
Western Aggregates TXI Boulder Permit Number 1988-108 is actively mining and
reclaiming at 11728 Hwy. 93 near Boulder, Co.
• During the year ending 2007 all pit benching and the floor elevations were
maintained at same elevation as the previous year. (Quarry has reached permitted
depths in the northwest corner area).
• Currently Western Aggregates TXI Boulder has about 20 acres of quarry open to
mining.
• Western Aggregates TXI is advancing the quarry to the south three to seven acres as
stated in the 2006 report. We started this process during the last week of August
2007 and the month of September and are now mining in the area in red as marked
on the picture of the Quarry.
Western Aggregates TXI is currently slopping the north side of the quarry, to the
proper Grade and will seed the area when grade has been achieved. Future plans
include the relocation of the pond area to the south of the existing pond about 100
feet to the south. We hope to make this change in the spring of 2008. After the pond
has been relocated we will then be able to reclaim this area as well.
We will enclose pictures of the new area opened up with this report.
Western Aggregates continues to work on the Knapp weed issue. A cooperative
Knapp weed program with our neighbors has been successful and includes all of TXI
Boulder's leased and fee property.
