No acreage has been affected during 1989. Reclamatior.~ efforts <br />were being observed. <br />2. No acreage has been reclaimed during 1989. <br />3. Six acres are under reclamation by grading and seedinE;. The <br />seeded area appe ars better this year, although the species growing <br />appear to be native revegitation more than growth from seeding. <br />l}. Not applicable. <br />5. Not applicable. <br />6. Natural revegitation seems to be as effective as seeding. The <br />gypsiferous soils are very prone to erosion, though, and some <br />reinforcement is seeded in area where stone berms and check dams <br />were used to break water velocity. In some places soils have <br />started to wash thxb ugh courser stone erosion checks. <br />7. No acres are scheduled to be affected during 1990. <br />8. The effective date of the information included in this report <br />is October 1, 1989.
