• IMPACTS AND FUTURE MONITORING
No significant unpredicted adverse impacts were detected from the 1993 water yeaz data.
The major influences from the mining operation are related to discharges of mine inflow
water to the Foidel and Fish Creek drainages. The salt loading impacts on the two creeks
were for the most part within the ranges projected in the original probable hydrologic
consequences sections of the mine permit application. While total dissolved solids
concentrations for the Fish Creek Borehole discharge ranged higher than originally
projected during the dewatering activities, the actual flow rates have been equal or lower.
Total dissolved solids concentrations and flow rates for the Foidel Creek dischazge aze
slightly lower than projected, leading to lower salt loadings than projected.
Dewatering of the Wadge Overburden close to mined areas is occurring as projected.
However, no significant influences aze appazent in the overlying Twentymile Sandstone
or the underlying Trout Creek Sandstone. No appazent influence on groundwater quality
is appazent from underground mining operations.
~.
( . -15- 6/10/94 1:23 pm
