Pursuant to your request, I have reviewed the April, August and October, 1985
subsidence monument survey reports, submitted by U.S. Steel Mining Company for
their Somerset Coal Mine. These reports present the survey results for the
survey monument profile line located above the mains passing beneath Hubbard
Creek. The data demonstrates that no subsidence has occurred during the
period of observation.
