Collins Pit <br /> Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit <br /> is October 30 , 1983 . <br /> During the spring of 1983 the Cache La Poudre River flooded <br /> and inundated Excavation Area 3 . Water continued to enter <br /> Area 3 through August , making it impossible to mine. Because <br /> of the high water level and a lack of capability to pump the <br /> water from the area , the material remaining in Area 3 was <br /> temporarily abandoned . Stripping and mining in Area 4 was <br /> started; however , more area was mined than was estimated in <br /> last year ' s annual report . At this time , the plan is to <br /> return to Area 3 when demand for material increases , remove <br /> the remaining material , and start reclamation. <br /> We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report <br /> questions as outlined in Section 2 .41 of the Rules and <br /> Regulations . <br /> 2 .41 ( 1 ) The area affected in Excavation Area 4 is 6 .18 <br /> acres +/-; 4 .17 acres +/- of material in Area 3 <br /> was inundated by flood waters . <br /> (2 ) No reclamation was completed this year . <br /> ( 3 ) Approximately 0 .27 acres was backfilled as <br /> described in the Technical Revision filed in <br /> August 1981 . <br /> ( 4 ) Not applicable . <br /> ( 5 ) Not applicable . <br /> ( 6 ) Only clean backfill material was used in <br /> Area 2 . <br /> 1100 RIVERSIDE — FT.
