Salt Creek has been reporting on water use and
discharge on an annual basis (from April to April) as required
by Munger Canyon Permit Stipulation 1~3 and McClane Canyon Per-
mit Stipulation ~4.
A detailed analysis of probable hydrologic consequences of
i4cClane Canyon Mine appears in Appendix N of the McClane Can-
yon Permit Application. The analysis indicates that there will
be insignificant hydrologic consequences caused by the McClane
Canyon Mine.
The Munger Canyon Mine will have no effect on the hydrologic
balance in its' area. This is because the mine is above the
zone of saturation caused by East Salt Creek. To date there
have been inflows of water into the mine and only minor amounts
of water rom McClane are being used in Munger at this time.
Chemical characteristics of the water discharged from the McClane
Canyon Mine are presented on the table enclosed.
PLease call if there are any questions or if I can be of assis-
tance.
Sincerely,
~~~~y~~//, L ;% FCC~-C~
John M.
