®~ ..
Nationa
e M ~ ~~
~%eterans Training Institute
125014th Street Suitc650 Denver,C080202 303-892-1712 800-331-0SG2
January. 3, 1990
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
The National Veterans' Training Institute is an Employment and Training
Program administered by the University of Colorado at Denver. The Institute is
funded under the auspices of the Veterans' Employment and Training Services,
an agency of the United States Department of Labor, Washington, D.C.
During the past two years, the Institute has trained approximately 6400
participants from all parts of the United States. As a component of our training
module on Economic Development, the Institute, during the summer months,
has made available to training participants, the opportunity to visit and tour the
Phoenix Mine in Idaho Springs, owned and operated by Mr. Alvin Mosch.
During the immediate past summer alone, a total of 15 tours consisting of
approximately 90 participants each were made to the Phoenix Mine.
As part of our training evaluation process, each participant provides the NVTI
with an evaluation of the tour. The feedback from lour participants has been
extremely positive. Mr. Mosch's informative and interesting presentations have
been rated excellent by the vast majority of the NVTI trainees participating in the
Mine Tour since the onset of this training component on Economic
Development.
We look forward to continuing to make the Mine Tour available to our trainees
again this coming summer.
Any questions regarding this matter may be referred to me directly or to my
assistant Armando Atencio at our office telephone number (303) 892-1712.
Sincerely,
Joh J.
