One of the local
Contractors has been digging and hauling some sort of limestone shale and putting it on
some of our roads in this area, and has been operating this "pit" for about a year. I am
certain this pit is being operated outside of any license or permits, as the material that is
being used is not of any uniformity; and is of questionable value.
The main concern here is that this material varies in size, some of it large as bowling
balls, and has done quite a lot of damage to vehicles trying to use a private road. Would
it be possible for your office to investigate this operation?
It can be found going south of Pueblo on I-25 to Exit 74. Travel south to where
frontage road turns into Abbey Road, and continue to the fork in the road, take a right
turn off to Cedarwood Road, travel several miles to Wolfenburger Road, (the first left
off of Cedarwood Road) tum left, travel to second drive-way, turn East and follow this
-" -road to a canyon w ere I ~e it--s.- -
Any assistance you could give in the closing of this pit would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Residents of Indian Summer Ranch
