ibENTiFICATION: Sedimentation Pond
DATE OF INSPECTION: May 29, 1999
LOCATION: Sec ' n 36, T33S , 6th P.M.
Las Animas ounty, Colorado
2~ Q ~ q ~ °I
COMMENTS: No hazardous conditions exist at the pond and there are no indications of erosion of the
dike or on the banks of the sediment pond. The area that was previously dredged is clearly visible, i.e.
the south half of the pond. The principal spillway structure was not visible due to a heavy growth of
cattails, but it appears the pond water level is high with water exiting the outlet structure. Water is
flowing into the pond from a small seep located at the northeast corner of the pond and about 2 ft. above
the waterline.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Monitor the banks of the sediment pond for signs of erosion into the pond and
observe quarterly for vegetation.
I, Santiago Romero Jr., Colorado Professional Engineer No. 20068, state that this report hereon was
prepared by myself and is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and from information provided
b Others. .u`*o~OOV.gR~
Y .~n0 REn .41n.
20068
Santiago Romero JrVP.E.
enclosed: photos of the site.
