Refuse t~ been placed in designed lifts <br />on a relatively flat terrain. Upslope runoff is diverted away from the disposal area, while runoff <br />from the disturbed area is channeled to a sediment control pond. The mine is in final <br />redamafion and all areas trove been sbped to final grade, covered with topsoil, and seeded <br />and mu~hed. <br />Activity During IrrspecUon: <br />Area is inactive with no personnel or equipment orrsite. Vegetation remains seasonally dorment, <br />but vegetation density appeared to be good. No evidence of significant erosion was observed. <br />Perimefersir~ ditches were open and functional. Cracks, slumps or ottua• signs of <br />poterfial failure were not obvserved. <br />Drainage: (Discussion of springs. seeps, overiarrd and channel flow, underdrain construction and/or <br />disdrarge, integrity of 100-y~r 24hour drainage structures, and evidence of positive drainage). <br />No springs or seeps were observed on fhe refuse surface. Positive drainage has been maintained <br />on the rectaimed areas. Drainage and diversion struchrres were inhact. All required underdrain <br />constn>ction has been completed. <br />Observation of Fig Corrstructlon: (Description of material, compaction, lift thicknesses, slopes, <br />and construction methods). <br />No reflrse placement has occurred saa:e December of 2000. Prior tp cessation of mining. waste <br />material was paaced in alternating lifts of furs and coarse material in accordance with the plan as <br />described in the TenaMatrbc report doled December 5, 1996. <br />
