~_

RED CANYON MINE
-7-
September 3, 1985
Average flows from ten (10) underground monitoring points have been
calculated by the permittee. The monitoring points located to the
north and east (UG-1, 5(u), 6) made the most water during the year.
Generally, conductance and pH were what would be expected of normal
Mesaverde water.
V. CONCLUSION
The monitoring reductions which were requested have been approved, with
stipulations.
Nothing seems too exceptional, except for Spring No. 5 which has not
recently been monitored.
Mostly, the monitoring was on the up and up, however, some quantity and
quality data is missing. Hopefully, the monitoring reductions will
allow for more accurate observations at the remaining sites.
SR/mis
cc: Mike Long
3073E
