Permit <br />No. M-83-033, Annual Report <br />FSDBRAL TA8 ID# <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this <br />permit is June 23. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary <br />Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The <br />Financial Warranty for this operation is $75,000, the permitted <br />area is 125.88 ac. t and the pit is divided into 7 Reclamation <br />Phases. A sign that conforms with rule 3.1.12 Signs and Markers is at <br />the entrance to the quarry on the scale house. Please refer to the <br />Annual Report Map for the location of areas discussed in this <br />report. This is a quarry operation, as a result we remove large <br />amounts of material without disturbing large areas of land. An <br />amendment to this permit was filed in April 2002 that included a <br />bond reevaluation and adds new are to the permit. <br />We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report <br />requirements as outlined in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations, <br />and the anneal notice letter. <br />(1) Total disturbance to date in Stage I ie 37.64 acres t. We <br />mined deeper along the face this year lowering benches but <br />creating little or no floor area. The current face area has <br />changed this year as more area was stripped and partially <br />mined and covers approximately 13.88 acres t (brown). Mining <br />continued on the area previously stripped in Phase i, this <br />includes the floor area (green), and the working face (brown). <br />We have continued to place fill in the drainage as approved in <br />the plan. <br />(2) No reclamation was required this year. Minor amounts of <br />backfill continue to be placed in the valley on the eastern <br />side of Phase I as approved (yellow). This area now covers <br />2.18 acres.
