Two moni toeing 9i te9 lie within the Little Grassy Creek
drainage: Surface Water Site SW-52-5, located in the southwest portion of the permit area
and NPDES Discharge Paint 002, also known as the Wadge Impoundment.
- Surface Water Site SW-52-5 (SSLGS). Site 5 drains the upper reaches of Little Grassy
Creek which are undisturbed by mining. Compazrsons of its hydrograph to that of NPDES OD2
indicate9 that Site 5 is a relatively minor contributor to the flow in this basin.
- NPDES Discharge Point 002 INPDES2). Hydrographs based on weekly flow measurements are
presented in Appendix D. The hydxographa consist of two pages, the first is fox data this
year, and the second shows all historical data. The following table, which lists the
average of weekly flow measurements for each year, shoos that this year 's discharge was
nearly average, being ranked tenth highest out of twenty years.
.1999WY IWa ter Year). = 0.483 cfs
199BWY =
1997wY = 1.209 cfs
292 cfs
1 •
.
1996WY = 1.400 cfs
1995WY = 0.386 cfs
1994 WY = 0.114 cfs
1993WY = 0.602 cfs
1992WY 0.072 cfs
1991WY = 0.072 cfs
1990WY 0.076 cfs
1989WY = 0.181 cfs
19BSWY 0.055 cfs
19H7WY = 0.070 cfs
1986WY = O.S6B cfs
1985CY (Calendar Year) 1.172 cfs
1984CY 1.439 cfs
1983CY 0.531 cfs
1982CY 0.547 cfs
1981CY =
1980CY = 0.098 cfs
990
0
f •
.
c
s
14
