M-77-098
Sievers Ranch Pit - Garfield County
MIN~p SAND
~~Cr-AMATION JlVlsrpr~
~~'
The anniversary date of this permit is June 30, 1989. Mobile
Pre-Mix, Company took over the lease on December 1, 1986 and
continued to operate the pit this year.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions
as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41
(1) Mining continued in Stage I as approved in the application.
Approximately 1.73 acres of new land was disturbed along the
south side of Stage I (cross-hatched brown). In addition the
floor of the mine was lowered an additional 6 feet in the
southeast part of Stage I (brown). This lowering of the
floor gets them to the first bench level. Wash plant settling
ponds were constructed on the upper level in Stage II (blue).
Stage P is still being utilizes as an equipment storage area
and plant site. Topsoil was temporally stockpiled on Stage
IV until it is needed for re-soiling Stage I (gray). Please
refer to the 1989 Annual Report Map attached.
(2) No reclamation was required this year. Approximately 250
linear feet of sloping was completed in Stage I this year
(green). Six to eight inches of topsoil was spread on the
slope in preparation for seeding.
(3) Mining will continue in Stage I on the lands previously
disturbed. Mobile Pre-Mix will continue to mine on level 1 of
Stage I, ie. the top 30 feet of material. This will lower
floor to the first bench level (tan). In addition the remaining
0.73 acres ± left in the southeast corner of the stage will be
mined (cross-hatched tan). When that is complete they will
start mining the second level of Stage I.
