This map sheet also shows mine
workings, surface topography and overburden thickness.
2.0 MONITORING SCHEDULE
Subsidence monitoring was performed in April 1991. All or parts of
monitoring lines "B", "C", "D", "S", and "T" were surveyed. The
baseline survey was performed on monitoring line "A".
3.0 MINING ADVANCE
Monthly longwall mining advance for this reporting period, as well
as total mining to date, are shown on the map. On May 13, 1992,
the United Mine Workers Local 1799 began a strike against CEC.
This strike continued through the balance of this semi-annual
reporting period. Mining during this period was limited to that
longwall mining necessary to meet mine maintenance requirements.
4.0 SUBSIDENCE RESULTS
The results of the surveys are tabulated in the attached tables for
each of the monitoring lines. No subsidence was noted for lines
"B", "C", and "D". Mining of the 2 East longwall resulted in
subsidence to "S" line monuments S1 through S8. The subsidence
values noted in the tables in Appendix A for monuments S9 through
S17 and T1 and T2 reflect the 0.1-ft survey accuracy rather than
actual subsidence.
Lypruc Enpire Subsidence Report
February 23, 7991 page 7
