If ground water flows through the sandstone at one-tenth of an inch per day, then the plume <br />would cover the entire predicted 8-acre economic drilling area in a period of about 300 years. <br />Water quality in the sandstone would not be degraded by the mine water based on the good <br />quality of sump water in the Apex No. 2 Mine (see attached copy of permit page 59). <br />Page 4 <br />
