1.0 INTRODUCTION
' This report, "Deserado Mine Fourteenth Annual Hydrology Report" is submitted to the Office of
Mined Land Reclamation in fulfillment of requirements outlined in a letter and attachments dated
' October 10, 1984, from Mr. Dan Mathews of what was then the Mine Land Reclamation
Division. This report presents the hydrologic data and analysis resulting from the Deserado
Mine hydrologic monitoring program for the period October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998.
The purpose of this Annual Hydrology Report is to describe the present hydrologic conditions in
' the Deserado Mine area in relation to the baseline hydrologic data in order to:
• Define trends in the hydrologic parameters.
' Determine what impact development of the Deserado Mine has had on the
hydrology of the area.
' Determine what mitigative measures should be undertaken in the future.
• Predict future impacts on the hydrology of the Deserado Mine area.
' This annual hydrologic report has been organized into three major sections. Section 1.0 is the
introduction, Section 2.0 is a summary of the hydrologic data collected this monitoring year and
' Section 3.0 summarizes observations from the monitoring program in relation to development of
the Deserado Mine.

1
1

i
1
1
1
1
