At present I am in the process of either closing
the pit and completing the recLtmation or leasing it for mining. All of this requires many permits, which i
am trying to obtain. I did start to plant willows as required by the reclamation plan and have contacted
many construction companies to complete the reclamation or leasing the pit for operations. I planed to
have this completed by this fall. At present 1 am waiting for a reply from the Colo. Dept of Health in
requesting permits to enter the river to remove the gravel ridge that is there or to get a permit to begin
mining.
Enclosed please find a map of the pit from 1994, it remains the same.
sincerely
1oAnn Vota
PO Box 3142
Durango, Colo. 81302
