Banta,
Division D.rector
DATE: January 18, 1990
T0: Cathy Begej and Jeff Clayton
FROM: Tim King
RE: Annual Hydrology Report, Marr Mine, C-80-006
On this date I revised the AHR submitted by Kerr Coal Company for the Marr
Mine. I broke the review down into three categories:
1. Monitoring frequency
2. Wells monitored
3. Compliance
rU' findings follow.
1. All the wells that were monitored were done so appropriately. That
is, for a certain type well, a certain monitoring frequency had to
be conducted. These frequencies were either quarterly, annually,
or weekly during spring months, monthly, or bi-annually. The
parameters within each frequency were also monitored appropriately.
2
3
All wells were monitored with the exception of: DH-6; 79-3;,
79-40; 79-47; 79-48. The list that you supplied included these
wells. No mention of them was made in the AHR.
The following chart includes those parameters that were out of
compliance, the location, the date, and the section of the AHR.
a. Coal Aquifer WQA
Location
79-27
79-32
b. Overburden WQA
All in compliance
Parameter Date
Manganese 10/3/88, 4/19/89
Manganese 10/3/88, 4/19/89
