Coal Mine 112 which is located in Gunnison County,
Colorado. We are submitting the following information concerning subsidence
investigation and monitoring:
1. Report prepared by Coe, Van Loo S Jaschke Engineers concerning the
Subsidence Investigation.
2. Copy of a Report prepared by F.M. Fox & Associates.
As stated in the report we feel that the worst possible consequences may be
diminished range capacity for grazing. If the Board agrees with this, we would
propose not implementing the monitoring program.
We understand that the Pstablishment of a monitoring program should have been
submitted by this time. However, we have been trying to develop a program that
meets all the existing regulations and also the proposed amendments which we
recently received. The establishment of monuments and continual survey require-
ments will prove to be expensive, especially in this terrain. Before we begin
this work we would like to have confirmation the work is necessary.
We are available to discuss this with you in further detail either in Gunnison
or Denver.
Sincerely,
COE, VAN L00 & JASCHKE ENGINEERING, INC.
Jerry reene, P.E.
cc: Bob Weaver
JEG/mc
