Camany <br />Division Director <br />- ureeinrstee <br />RE: Excess Spoil Fill Inspections <br />1st Zndend 3rd Quarters 2004 <br />Lorencito Canyon Mine, #C-96-084 <br />Mr. Thompson: <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology has completed review of the 1st 2"d and 3rd <br />quarters of 2004 excess spoil fill inspections for Fills 7, 8, and 9 at the Lorencito Canyon <br />Mine. <br />The Division noted copies of seed tags and certified weed free mulch receipts were <br />included. These documents demonstrate compliance with the approved plan for <br />revegetation. Please ensure that fertilizer application is completed as recommended <br />and required by the approved permit. Application amounts, timing, and locations should <br />be documented in the Annual Reclamation Report each year as appropriate. <br />Also, the 3rd quarter reports seem to have text that is duplicated from the 2"d quarter <br />reports regarding seeding during the inspection. Please check and correct as <br />necessary in future reports. <br />We have no further questions or concerns at this time.
