D6pt. of Natural Resources <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> Attention Mr. Joseph Zalkind, Mineral Supervisor <br /> Re: Best Way Paving Annual Report <br /> Dear Mr. Shelton: <br /> Best Way Paving Company submits the following information concerning its <br /> mining and reclamation activity for the year 1980. <br /> 1 . The company extracted gravel in phase two and three as designated <br /> on the mining plan, affecting approximately four acres. <br /> 2. Mining is not complete in phase one, two, and three; therefore, <br /> no reclamation has commenced in those areas. The boundry of the <br /> properties have four feet high and ten feet wide berms which have <br /> been set in and trees and shrubs have been planted according to the <br /> requirements of the Weld County Special Use Permit. A six foot high <br /> privacy fence has been erected on the east,west and south boundries <br /> of the property. <br /> 3 . No internal reclamation has been commenced and therefore there has <br /> been no planting of any vegetation. <br /> 4. Extraction during 1981 will continue in phase two and three. It is <br /> anticipated that no additional acres will be disturbed during this <br /> year and we anticipate that reclamation of phase two and three will <br /> commence by the end of 1981 . <br /> If any additional information is required, please let us know and we will <br /> supply that information immediately. <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> Carl V.
