Hidden Valley Pit
MLR No. M-98-024 Tax I.D.#
Dear Jim:
Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for The Hidden Valley Pit of B&B
Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Past records show that the annual
date for the pit is August 3 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit is
$83,155 and the total permit area is 183.6 acres, although Eagle County has limited the
10 year operation area to 29.2 acres as shown on the enclosed map. We are in the
process of permitting the full site with Eagle County. The mining and reclamation plan
is phased.
The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1:
(1) Mining did take place in the previous year as was planned within 10 acres of the
29.2 acre area. No new acres were mined in the past year. No new disturbance occurred
on site. The excavated pit and some stockpiles do exist on site. All topsoil and
overburden has been stripped and placed in berms around the pit as planned in the
permit. In addition, the existing disturbance consists of the access road, sediment sump,
a truck scale and scale house/office trailer has been set up as shown on the enclosed
