Aeview of the hydrograDha and the above table shows that this year's discharge •
mac about average, being ranked ae the eighth highest is thirteen years. Review
of the TDS Dlot indicates as iacreeeiag tread.
- Surface water Site SW-S2-12 (63812). This site moaitore Hond Creek at its
confluence with Fiah Creek. Zt is monitored May through September oa a monthly
basis. This year, flow was Drasent at this site only during the May visit,
although NPDES 008 upstream was flowing continuously. This reduction in flow is
due to stream channel infiltration and evapotraneyiratioa. The TD3 plot
indicates a slightly increasing tread.
- Surface water Site SW-S2-11 (SSP11). This site moaitore Fiah Creek upstream
of its confluence of Cow Camp Creak. It ie required to be monitored May through
September on a monthly basis, but only i£ either Sites 10 or 12 are flowing.
However, field paremetere and flow estimates may sometimes be provided
voluntarily when not required. This Bite ie upstream of Seneca II Miae
discharges.

- Suz£ece Water Site 9W-32-13 (99F13). This site moaitore Fiah Creek downstream
of its confluences with Cow Camp Creek and Boad Creek. St ie monitored at the
same frequency ae Site 11. The increase in TDS values, from Site 11 to Site 13,
was from 670 to 490 mg/1 (4~c).
Oa Page 7-247 of the Seneca II Mina probable Hydrologic Consequences (PHC),
predictions were made for the TDS iacreasea to be observed on Fieh Creek during
the months of June sad July due to discharges from the Seneca II Mine. Ia June,
as increase £rom 421 to 497 mg/1 (18+x) is predicted. Ia July, as increase £rom
533 to 607 mq/1 (13AC) ie predicted. However, neither lower load Creek nor lower
Cow Camp Creek was flawing in Juae or July this year. Ae stated is the previous
paragraph, only a 496 increase is TDS was noted between the two sites is May. it
appears that the Seneca II Miae hoe little i~act oa Fieh Creek. Water
discharged From the mice ie lost to stock Donde, eveDotransDiration, and the
alluvium as it Flows through Twentymile Park. Dissolved solids from mine
discharges are diluted during the saowmelt suno£f in March sad April (prior to
the irrigation season) by high stream flows with relatively low TDS •
14
