• (Tech. Rev. 33) to reduce monitoring £requeacies at Site SSLGS and Spoil Spring
#1. NPDE9 Discharge Point 003 is monitored weekly for field parameters (£low,
temperature, DB, and electrical conductivity). Pointe 002, 004 and 008 are
monitored monthly for Field parameters. All four NPDE9 sites are monitored
monthly for NPDES parameters. Monitoring frequency chaIIgee for 002, 004, and
OOS went into of Fact oa September 1, 1999 (see "Introduction"). Stream
Monitoring Sites SSG1 and S3G2 are monitored for field parameters monthly from
March through October. Both of these sites, ae well as Sites SSG3 sad SSLGS,
are sampled three times a year for full-suite water quality. The fire[ sample
of the year ie collected during the spring runoff (March or April), the second
sample is collected after the spring runoff (May or .Tune), and the third sample
is collected Suring base flow conditions (September). Full-suite lnb samples
collected at all these eitee were aaalyze8 using the surface water long list,
Table S. The two stream sites on Fieh Creek (Sites SSF11 and 13), and the two
oa Fish Creak tributaries (Sites SSC10 an8 SsH12i, era monitored monthly from
May through September for field parameters and full-suite lab eamylee. Whoa ao
• flow ie observed at the Cow Cam or Boad Creak aitea (Sites 30 end 12), the two
Fieh Creak aitea (sites 11 and 13) are not monitored.
At the Seneca II Mina, there are eight spoil springs are monitored for field
parameters and Eull-suite lab samples in the gyring and fall seasons. Ia
addition, Spoils Spring 1 was sampled for a full-euite lab samples coneurreatly
with NPDES 004, sad was monitored monthly and concurrently with NPD89 004 for
field parameters from March to October.
Surface water quality data are presented is Appendix D. Data for each Bite
begins with a Flow hydrogreDh of ell historic data (plus an annual hydrograph
for NPDES eitea), followed by a listing of individual water quality and quantity
data for the current water year, a TDS regression plot using the LOWESS method
(nee Ground Water Quality aectioa), sad then a listing of historic percent
milliequivalent values for maior ions and TDS values. Crest stage gage rating
curves are presented is Appendix E. Lab samples are handled identically to
procedures diacuesefl previously in the Ground Water Quality section.
i~
