INTERNATIONAL URANIUM (USA) CORPORATION
2005 ANNUAL REPORT
Topaz Mine M -1980-055-HR
The Topaz Mine remains on "standby-ready status".
The Operator has removed the temporary plug in the Topaz portal and accessed the
decline to assess the condition of the workings.
During 2006, the Operator plans to evaluate the condition of the Topaz decline and reach
a decision on whether or not to resume mining operations at the Sunday Mine group of mines,
which includes the Topaz Mine. As of year-end 2005, no development or mining operations
were underway at the Topaz Mine, and no new disturbance has taken place at the site which will
affect the reclamation surety estimate.
During 2005 the Operator continued to monitor eradication of localized occurrences of
knapweed. One additional treatment was administered in 2005, and the spraying results are
positive.
At the end of December 2003, the Operator submitted a Final Reclamation Map for the
Topaz Mine Permit. The Final Reclamation Map was accepted by the Division in January 2004.
The site map submitted by the Operator during the Technical Revision and Final Reclamation
planning has not changed and remains current.
Following review of the requirements for resumption of mining operations at the Topaz
Mine and nearby mines, the Operator will formally notify the Division of Minerals and Geology
in the event that a decision is reached to commence mining operations.
