' Orthophosphate/Nitrite <br />Historically, orthophosphate (Figure 33) and nitrite (Figure 34) values obtained over the period of record have been <br />' low with most being below detection limits (Appendix B). However, elevated orthophosphate readings occurred in the <br />summers of 1998 through 2000, possibly due to nearby agricultural activity. In 2001, concentrations of orthophosphate <br />' returned to historically low levels. Nitrite concentrations were again elevated a[ TR-1.5 and WR-1 in May 2001, but <br />decreased to historical levels as the year progressed. <br />' Chloride/Potassium <br />Chloride and Potassium (Figure 35) were added to the parameters list in 1994. While any trend analyses for these <br />parameters is considered speculative some observations can be made. Fluctuations in [he concentrations of these parameters <br />for each location are consistent with the fluctuations observed in other parameters for each given location. <br />43 <br />
