COLORADO 81302 <br />May 5, 1987 <br />T0: National King Coal, Inc. <br />OFFICE 909 247-0118 <br />RESIDENCE 247-7690 <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Subsidence Monitoring, Second Quarter 1987 <br />1) The second quarterly visual inspection for subsidence, King <br />Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado was made on May 4, 1987. <br />2) Survey stations were monitored on the same date by Cecilia <br />Berry under the supervision of Sundale Engineering. <br />3) No new evidence of subsidence is apparent. <br />The surface area above both old and current workings was <br />inspected on May 4, 1987. The surface was inspected for evidence <br />of slump, subsidence, shearing, cracks in bedrock, vegetation <br />damage and water infiltration. No new evidence of subsidence is <br />apparent. The purpose of the inspection was to meet requirements <br />established by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division for <br />subsidence. <br />a <br />,;~~ <br />~ Fred M.
