Monitoring Report." for tllt <br />period 5/87 to 11/87 is slabmitted here with. <br />During the period the Ser_ond East Section ,continued development <br />ad9acent to the workings of the Cedar Canon Mine and the original Twin <br />Pines Mine. (See the enclosed enlarged m,sp of the section). Cedar Canon <br />workings to the north of the main entries were found to be dry by probe <br />holes drilled prior to advancing the entries. Discharge ~nt_o <br />Lewis Gulch, resulting from pumping of the water, started on Uct.ober <br />'L7, 1?8'/. A s>_utunary of the amount of water discharged daily from the <br />mine and test results sre enclosed. As can be noted in the pumping <br />record, i.?le water was pumped during the working hours of the mine for <br />appro:~imently :i-1/2 weeks. The volume of water in tale sumps in the mine <br />inoreased in volume during this period, additional hours of pumping <br />were required to reduce the level in the sumps. With the increased <br />ho>.lrs of Punlpin~ the 1eve7. receeded. Without allowing for the volume of <br />water in the sumps, the average inflow into mine for the period <br />].0/27; R7 b~ 12/2/87 is 282,400 gallons or. S.Sgpm.
