<br /> <br />certificate is included in Figure 1 based on quality control test frequencies <br />specified in Appendix `'A", Page 16). <br />2.2 Delivery <br />2.2.1 Transportation and Handling <br />Transportation of the geomembranz and/or bentonite blanket will be performed by the <br />manufacturer through an independent trucking firm, or other party as agreed upon by the <br />owner. If the geomembrane or bentonite blanket arrives on site prior to ILPI project <br />personnel, the customer is responsible for off loading rolls. Geomembrane, when off- <br />loaded, should be placed on a smooth surface free of rocks or any other protrusions which <br />may damage the material. No special covering is necessary for geomembrane. <br />Bentonite blankets, when off-loaded, should be placed on a raised surface and covered so <br />that moisture can not come in contact with the bentonite blanket. <br />The following should be verified prior tooff-loading either geomembrane or bentonite <br />blanket: <br />Handling equipment used on the site adequate and does not pose any risk of <br />damage to either the geomembrane or bentonite blanket; and <br />Personnel will handle the geomembrane and bentonite blanket with care. <br />Any welding rod delivered to the site prior to ILPI arrival should be kept covered and dry <br />or placed in a storage facility. <br />Upon arrival at the site, ILPI shall conduct a surface observation of all rolls for defects <br />and for damage. This inspection shall be conducted without unrolling rolls unless defects <br />or damages aze found or suspected. ILPI shall indicate any damage to the Project <br />Manager. <br />2.2.2 Storage <br />The Project Manager shall provide storage space in a location (or several locations) such <br />that on-site transportation and handling aze minimized. Storage space should be <br />protected from theft, vandalism, passage of vehicles, and be adjacent to the azea to be <br />lined.
