upper and lower Bramiera Draw respectively. No flow was recorded
at these points during the year.
Naturita Creek is the receiving stream for the drainages from the
central and eastern portion of the permit area. This creek
typically flows year round. Three monitoring points are located
along Naturita Creek. Two points are upstream N-1 and N-lA and one
point downstream N-2. Discharge point N-lA replaced point N-1
effective in 1993. Naturita Creek had flow all year. The quality
of water measured in Naturita Creek was consistent with prior years
monitoring.
' Springs

Six springs a located adjacent to the mining area. SP-1, located
in Long Draw has had flow recorded in 4 of 16 calendar quarters
that monitoring data is available. The maximum flow was 1.5 gpm
recorded March 3, 1988. During 1993, SP-1 was either damp or dry
with no recorded flow.
SP-2 located in Section 33 Creek has had flow recorded in 3 of 16
calendar quarters that monitoring data is available. The maximum
flow was 1 gpm recorded March 13, 1991. During 1993, SP-2 was damp
the first and third quarters and dry the second and fourth quarters
of the year.
' SP-3 located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in five
years of monitoring data. The spring was noted as a seep during
the first quarter of 1989 and damp the second quarter of 1992. It
was noted as dry during 1993.
SP-4 located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in five
years of monitoring data. The spring was noted as a seep during
the first and fourth quarters of 1989 and dry during all subsequent
monitoring.
SP-5 also located in Bramiers Draw has not had any recorded flow in
five years of monitoring data. The spring was noted as a seep
' during the first quarter of 1989 and dry during all subsequent
monitoring.
SP-6 also located in Bramiers Draw has been monitored during twelve
calendar quarters. During two of the quarters, flow was measured
with the maximum flow being 1.8 gpm. The spring was noted as dry
only once during the fourth quarter of 1991. During 1992, SP-6 was
' a pool during the first quarter, damp during the second and third
quarters and noted as frozen during the fourth quarter. During
1993, SP-6 was noted as a stagnant pool during the first and third
' quarters and dry the second and fourth quarters.
